PMA`s Governor Inaugurates the Palestine Islamic Bank New Branch in Gaza
Gaza, June 12th, 2013, Dr. Jihad Al Wazir Governor of PMA has inaugurated a new branch for the Palestine Islamic Bank in Gaza, in a ceremony attended by members of the bank's Board of Directors and Palestinian Businessmen.
Dr. Al Wazir said that he is proud of the Palestine Islamic Bank's achievements and developments, and congratulated the bank's BOD on adopting the sign language in the banking transactions.
Dr. Alwazir described this step as a "historical achievement" for the state of Palestine in general, and for the PMA, the banking system in particular. He added that this institution will reinforce financial and banking stability and that its foundation at the appropriate time as the banking system is strong, stable and sound with high levels of equity and capital adequacy that is higher than recommended by the Basel Committee.
