The Palestine Monetary Authority warns Palestinian citizens against dealing with the so-called "Production Bank" and the "Islamic National Bank" in Gaza as they are not licensed by the PMA. Therefore they will not be monitored by the PMA and the deposits of its depositors will not be covered by the Palestine Deposit Insurance Corporation pursuant to the requirements of Law No. 2/1997 on the Palestinian Monetary Authority, Banks Law No. 9 of 2010, and the Palestine Deposits Insurance Corporation Law of 2013. Accordingly, the PMA will not bear any responsibility for any losses resulting from dealing with the unlicensed institutions mentioned above.
