The Governor of the Palestinian Monetary Authority meets a Delegation from the Federation of Chambers of Commerce

Ramallah and Al-Bireh Governorate – February 17, 2021

 

The Governor of Palestine Monetary Authority, Dr. Feras Milhem, met today with a delegation from the Federation of Chambers of Commerce. Attended by the President of the Federation of Chambers of Commerce Mr. Omar Hashem, and the heads of the chambers of commerce in the governorates. Also, the Deputy Governor of Palestine Monetary Authority Mr. Mohammad Manasrah, and the Executive Director of the Financial Stability Group Mr. Eyad Zeitawi attended the meeting.

 

The governor asserted on the latest developments in the Palestinian banking sector. Furthermore, he stressed on the efforts made by the Palestine Monetary Authority to maintain stability and strength of the banking sector. In order to enhance its role in the development of the national economy, especially through providing the necessary funding to support small and microbusinesses.

 

The meeting also discussed ways to solve the current economic implications that resulted from the outbreak of the Coronavirus. Additionally, the delegation tackled the current significant issues that are affecting the economic sector.

 

The delegation congratulated Dr. Feras Milhem on his position as Governor of the Palestine Monetary Authority, wishing him success in his duties to serve the development of the banking and economic sectors.
