The PMA Governor Discusses Areas of Cooperation with a Delegation from the International Finance Corporation (IFC)

Ramallah – His Excellency Mr. Yahya Shunnar, the PMA Governor, met with a delegation from the International Finance Corporation (IFC), led by Mr. Yousef Habash, Regional Director for Consulting and Financial Services for Financial Institutions at the IFC. The meeting, which was attended by several department directors, focused on enhancing mutual cooperation to support the financial and banking sector in Palestine.

During the meeting, the Governor highlighted the efforts of the PMA in maintaining financial and monetary stability, expanding financial inclusion, and supporting SMEs through specialized financing programs. He also outlined various initiatives launched by the PMA to promote economic development and discussed the challenges faced by the Palestinian banking sector amid the current economic conditions. He emphasized the importance of supporting initiatives that stimulate economic growth.

For its part, the IFC delegation commended the PMA’s efforts in promoting financial stability and developing banking infrastructure. The delegation reaffirmed the IFC’s commitment to supporting the Palestinian private sector, encouraging investments, and fostering partnerships with local financial institutions to achieve sustainable economic development.
