PMA Governor Discusses Methods to Enhance Mutual Cooperation with the Attorney General
The PMA Governor, Mr. Yahya Shunnar, met today with Attorney General Counselor Akram Al-Khatib to discuss methods to enhance cooperation between the PMA and the Public Prosecution.
During the meeting, both parties discussed mechanisms for combating financial crimes and fraud, as well as strengthening integrity and transparency within the banking sector. They also explored legal and regulatory coordination to ensure a well-supervised financial environment and enforce strict measures against outlaws.
Governor Shunnar emphasized the importance of ongoing coordination between the two institutions to strengthen financial oversight and protect the banking system from risks. He commended the critical role of the Attorney General’s Office in upholding the rule of law and ensuring financial justice.
For his part, Attorney General Al-Khatib praised the PMA’s efforts in leading, developing, and maintaining the stability of the Palestinian banking sector. He reaffirmed the Public Prosecution’s full commitment to cooperation and pledged to mobilize all available resources within its jurisdiction to support financial stability, justice, and the protection of citizens' rights
