Students Delegation from Champions Academy in Gaza Strip Visit PMA

Students’ sports delegation from Champions Academy in Gaza Strip visited Palestine Monetary Authority in Ramallah today. Mr. Rajab Al-Sarraj, the Chairman of the Board of the Champions Academy headed the delegation. H.E. Mr. Azzam Shawwa, the Governor of PMA, Mr. Mohammad Al Barghouti, the Chairman of the Board of the Association of Banks in Palestine, Mr. Joseph Nesnas, Vice-Chairman of the Board of Directors, Mr. Nabil Abu Diab, General Director of the Association of Banks in Palestine, and a number of PMA’s directors and employees received the delegation. H.E. Mr. Azzam Shawwa, the Governor of PMA, welcomed the visiting delegation from the Champions Academy to PMA headquarters and said in his speech that he was pleased to receive them. H.E. Mr. Azzam Shawwa also affirmed the important role of the young sports delegation in developing sports in Palestine in the future at regional and international levels. H.E. Mr. Azzam Shawwa wished the delegation success and the best of luck.

Mr. Mohammad Al Barghouti, the Chairman of the Board of the Association of Banks in Palestine, said he was happy to see the delegation from the Champions Academy visiting the West Bank. Such visits must continue since they strengthen the concept of unity among the young generations and relations across the territories of the homeland, according to Mr. Al Barghouti. 

 

Mr. Rajab Al-Sarraj, the Chairman of the Board of the Champions Academy, thanked PMA and the Association of Banks in Palestine for welcoming the delegation to PMA and introducing the delegation to PMA’s work. The visit to PMA was to educate students about the institutions of the Palestinian state, especially the banking institutions, and to boost relations across the territories of the homeland, said Mr. Al-Sarraj. 


Mr. Nidal Milhim, Head of PMA’s Consumers’ Awareness and Complaint Handling Division, plainly explained PMA’s function to the delegation and PMA’s role in supervising the banking sector and answered the students’ questions.
