PMA Governor Meets the Minister of Education and Higher Education

His Excellency Mr. Azzam Shawwa, the Governor of the Palestine Monetary Authority, met today at his office in Ramallah with His Excellency Dr. Sabri Saidam, the Minister of Education and Higher Education, Mr. Basri Saleh, Deputy Minister of Education and Higher Education, and the Director General of International and Public Relations Mr. Nadeem Salim. Dr. Riyad Abu Shehadah, PMA Governor’s Assistant for Financial Stability Affairs and Mrs. Irene Saadeh, the Director of Public Relations and Communication Department at PMA were present in the meeting. Dr. Saidam congratulated Mr. Shawwa on the new PMA headquarter. He praised the progress made by PMA in all areas and its efforts to safeguard the stability of the Palestinian banking sector and building of the national economy. 

Mr. Shawwa said that PMA would continue the developmental approach in all areas including systems and human capacities so as to become a central bank of Palestine soon and ensure full aspects of financial stability of the Palestinian banking sector. 

Mr. Shawwa thanked Mr. Saidam for the continuous cooperation between the Ministry of Education and Higher Education and PMA especially in raising awareness about banking and other joint activities.
