The Governor of Palestine Monetary Authority and Head of High Judicial Council Discuss Joint Cooperation on Electronic Payment of Financial Obligations Ensued by Court Decisions

His Excellency Mr. Azzam Shawwa, the Governor of Palestine Monetary Authority, met today at PMA headquarters in Ramallah with His Excellency the Head of the High Judicial Council Advisor Emad Saleem and accompanying delegate. Colonel Mohanad Suwan Chief of Judicial Police and a number of directors of PMA’s departments joined the meeting between Mr. Shawwa and Mr. Saleem. 

The meeting discussed means of joint cooperation in developing systems to deliver electronic payments of financial obligations resulting from court decisions and cooperation in training of judges on the basics of banking function to enable them to decide on lawsuits relevant to financial and banking issues.  

H.E. Mr. Shawwa said that PMA was ready to exert all efforts to ensure electronic payment service for financial obligations ensued by court decisions in coordination with Palestinian banks, which would ease payment of financial obligation by people and ease the function of the judicial system. Mr. Shawwa also praised the efforts of the High Judicial Council to safeguard the independence and integrity of the judiciary, ensure justice and law in order to protect people’s interests and rights.

His Excellency the Head of the High Judicial Council praised PMA’s role in leading the Palestinian banking sector and developing and safeguarding the stability of such sector. Mr. Saleem also praised the constructive cooperation between PMA and national institutions for the benefit of the people.
