Palestine Monetary Authority Honors Female Employees on International Women’s Day


 

Palestine Monetary Authority organized, under the auspices and participation of His Excellency Mr. Azzam Shawwa, the Governor Palestine Monetary Authority, celebration in honor of its female employees in the West Bank and Gaza Strip to commemorate International Women’s Day. Mr. Shawwa praised in a speech in the celebration the prominent role of Palestinian women in development and in institutional building and the distinctive achievements in all areas especially banking and economy. Mr. Shawwa stated that Palestinian women had proven all the time that they had the capacity to be stand hand in hand with men in development of society and occupied leading positions in Palestinian institutions and succeed in managing such institutions to progress and growth. 

His Excellency Mr. Azzam Shawwa also praised the efforts of all female employees at the banking sector and their role in safeguarding its development and growth. The number of female employees at PMA rose from 8 in 1995, when PMA was established, to 97 in 2018 or 30% of the 340 employees of PMA. 

PMA’s female employees received gifts in the celebration in appreciation of their hard work.
