Palestine Monetary Authority Holds Consultation Workshop on Launching “House Price Index in Palestine

Palestine Monetary Authority held today in Ramallah consultation workshop to discuss launching “House Price Index in Palestine” to be launched by Palestine Monetary Authority in the coming period. The workshop was attended by certified real estate assessors, representatives of the Palestine Capital Market Authority, and the employees of the Research and Monetary Policies Department in Palestine Monetary Authority.

The workshop discussed the initial outcomes of the House Price Index in Palestine, which the Research and Monetary Policies Department, under directives from His Excellency Mr. Azzam Shawwa, the Governor of Palestine Monetary Authority, had prepared its theoretical framework in 2018 and had gathered the necessary data from available sources to start producing this index and publish it in a form of a press release on quarterly basis. 

It is worth noting that the House Price Index monitors changes in real estate prices during specific period of time at a specific geographic location using global approaches in line with relevant international standards and practices.
