PMA Holds a Series of Banking Awareness Seminars for Students in the Gaza Strip

The PMA, in collaboration with Education Directorates, has organized a series of banking awareness activities in the Gaza Strip targeting primary and secondary school students.

Awareness visits involved the following schools: Al-Majd Conventional School, and the Greek Orthodox School in Gaza City; Dar Al-Fadeela and Al-Mustaqbal Schools in Rafah; Al-Shorooq School in the city of Khan Younis; Al-Zahra School in Al Nuseirat; and Ebad Al-Rahman School in the town of Jabalya. This was within the framework of awareness programs and activities launched by the PMA, in its strategy aimed at raising the level of awareness and culture of banking among the different segments of society.

Educational meetings, organized by the Consumers Relations and Market Conduct Department in the PMA, included a detailed presentation of the functions and objectives of the PMA. As well as the monitoring and regulatory frameworks governing its work, the sectors it supervises, and the core banking concepts. The characteristics and benefits of the group of Automated Systems launched by the PMA in recent years were also discussed. At the end of these educational meetings, questions and concerns of students and teachers were addressed, while, informative brochures and guides were handed out.
