Dr. Jihad Al Wazir, the Governor of the Palestine Monetary Authority received on Monday July 4th at his office in the city of Ramallah, the Lord Mayor of the City of London; Alderman Michael Bear and the accompanying delegation.

The governor briefed the Lord Mayor and the accompanying British delegation on the developments within the PMA and the most significant achievements in the Palestinian banking system, where both parties have also discussed ways of future cooperation between the Palestine Monetary Authority and the City of London.

This visit comes in relation to a grant offered by the City of London which covers an internship for a member of the PMA staff for 6 months in a financial institution operating in the city.

The delegation was received by high level management members of PMA as well as the deputy Governor.

The visit of Lord Michael is a milestone in the relations of common networking between the Palestine Monetary Authority and other official international institutions; it comes within the introductory process of PMA's important role internationally.
