Gaza Damaged Banknotes Replaced and Coins sent to Gaza

H.E. Mr. Azzam Shawwa, the Governor of PMA, stated that working vigorously with all relevant parties in order to meet the needs of the citizens of Gaza Strip and reduce their suffering had been productive. Hence, PMA had been able to replace the damaged banknotes of different currencies in Gaza Strip.

A total of NIS 155 million, $4.3 million, and JOD 1.1 million of damaged banknotes had been replaced with new banknotes in order to satisfy the requirements of banknotes of the citizens of Gaza Strip.

H.E. Mr. Azzam Shawwa also stated that PMA had been able to bring in $15 million to Gaza Strip. PMA also managed to bring in the half shekel coin to Gaza Strip.
