The PMA and the Businessmen's Forum Organize an Awareness Workshop to Introduce Digital Financial Services

The PMA, in collaboration with the Businessmen's Forum in Nablus, organized an awareness workshop attended by forum members. The workshop aimed to introduce digital financial services and encourage their use, highlighting the ease, reliability, and security of these services compared to traditional cash transactions.

Mr. Abdul Raouf Hawash, Chairman of the Nablus Businessmen's Forum, and Mr. Iyad Al-Zaitawi, Director of the Financial Stability Department at the PMA opened the workshop. In addition, representatives from the Financial Inclusion Department, the "Monshati" platform, and the Palestinian E-Payment Services Company attended on behalf of the PMA.

Al-Zaitawi presented a brief overview of the digital financial systems recently developed and made available by the PMA. Among the key systems highlighted was the launch of the National Electronic Bill Presentment and Payment System (E-SADAD). He emphasized the importance of these systems and tools in achieving the PMA's strategic objective of digital transformation and enhancing financial inclusion. He noted the significance of developing these systems given the exceptional circumstances Palestine is currently facing. The presentation also included detailed explanations of the PMA's initiatives to provide low-cost financing through the Estidama Fund for various vital economic sectors and projects affected by the current economic conditions, as well as the provision of technical support and legal assistance through the "Monshati" platform.

Mr. Hawash confirmed the importance of partnership with the PMA and the enhancement of support for economic sectors, enabling them to access financing sources and benefit from loans provided by the Estidama Fund.

The workshop addressed the role of digital financial services in meeting the needs of individuals and businesses through secure, accessible, and low-cost technological means, and in reducing the risks associated with cash usage. It also discussed the financing and training opportunities offered by the PMA and the banking system to ensure the sustainability of economic enterprises.
