The Governor of the Palestine Monetary Authority meets the President of Al-Quds Open University

Ramallah and Al-Bireh Governorate – March 20, 2022

The Governor of the Palestine Monetary Authority (PMA), Dr. Feras Milhem, met today with the President of Al-Quds Open University, Dr. Samir Najdi and his delegation at the headquarters of the PMA in Ramallah and Al-Bireh Governorate.

In the meeting, the two sides discussed the importance of bolstering partnership between the PMA and Palestinian universities, thus contributing to developing the capabilities of university students and enhancing their research and practical aspect in the fields of finance and banking.

The two sides agreed on implementing the signed memorandum of understanding, which aims to enhance efforts of cooperation and joint work regarding scientific research in fields of economics, business administration, financial and banking sciences, in addition to financial technology. The MoU further focuses on organizing events for students that are aimed at empowering them, strengthening their capabilities in the financial and banking awareness and culture as well as to relevant legislation, and contributing to implement the goals of the National Strategy for Financial Inclusion.
