The Governor of Palestine Monetary Authority Meets with the Ambassador of Egypt to the State of Palestine

Ramallah and Al-Bireh – April 28, 2021

The Governor of Palestine Monetary Authority, Dr. Feras Milhem, met today at the Headquarters of Palestine Monetary Authority, with His Excellency the Ambassador of Egypt to the State of Palestine, Mr. Tarek Tayel.

The Governor presented, during the meeting, the latest developments in the Palestinian banking sector and the efforts to maintain its stability as well as the situation of the Palestinian economy and its endurance in light of the COVID-19 pandemic.

The Governor also stressed the depth of the historical fraternal relationship between Palestine and Egypt, which constantly stands with the Palestinian people and their legitimate rights.

Ambassador Tarek Tayel expressed his appreciation for the efforts of Palestine Monetary Authority in maintaining the integrity and development of the Palestinian banking sector, stressing his country's readiness to expand the prospects of cooperation between the two sides in various fields, particularly the exchange of banking practices and experiences.
