Discussing Palestine Monetary Authority (PMA) suggestions for the development of the Credit Registry System (CRS), which PMA supervises together with its users that include banks and specialized lending institutions, a seminar was conducted by the Consumer’s Relation and Market Conduct Department at PMA.

Palestine Monetary Authority, PMA, launched the International Bank Account Number (IBAN), proportional to the international standards for bank accounts enumeration in Palestine, which consequently facilitates handling internal and external bank transfers.

Dr. Jihad Al-Wazir, Governor of the Palestine Monetary Authority, declared that the Government's borrowing  from the Palestinian Banking System has reached the  maximum tolerable risks limits as per the sound banking principles.
