Dr. Jihad Al Wazir- Governor of Palestine Monetary Authority, headed the Palestine National Payment System Council meeting that took place at the PMA's headquarter.

Palestine Monetary Authority requested the banks operating in Palestine to facilitate the payment of loan installment for Public Sector’s employees, due to the delay in salaries’ payment, and transferring part of the salary to other employees.

Palestine Monetary Authority (PMA) issued a circular for all banks operating in Palestine, requested the non-deduction of any commission for the returned checks related to the accounts of public sector employees during the delay in salaries’ payment, except if the total value of returned checks during that period exceed their monthly salary.

The PMA has issued instructions to all banks operating in Palestine to configure a reserve to counter-cyclical (Counter Cyclicality Reserves).
