Rafah Chamber of Commerce and Industry and Palestine Monetary Authority Organize Symposium on Electronic Clearance System

Rafah – Rafah Chamber of Commerce and Industry and Palestine Monetary Authority organized a symposium on electronic clearance system facilitated by Na’el Sha’th. The Chairman of Rafah Chamber of Commerce and Industry Mr. Abd Al-Kareem Abd El’al and his Deputy Mr. Haitham Abu Taha and members of the Board of Directors and members of the Chamber and Palestine Monetary Authority’s delegates attended the symposium.

The Palestine Monetary Authority’s delegates extended in the symposium greetings from His Excellency Mr. Azzam Shawwa, the Governor of Palestine Monetary Authority, to the participants in the symposium as well as the efforts of Mr. Shawwa to continue and develop cooperation with the Rafah Chamber for the benefit of the national economy and the society. Na’el Sha’th pointed out the importance of raising awareness about electronic clearance especially for traders and addressed the creation and development of clearance in Palestine, defining electronic clearance, its objectives and advantages and the party responsible for its operation and management. Na’el Sha’th also briefed the participants about the cycle of processing checks in electronic clearance, the different reasons for returning checks, and a comparison between current clearance and electronic clearance. The participants had a long debate and inquiries made by traders and answered by the Palestine Monetary Authority’s delegates, Na’el Sha’th, Dr. Ra’fat Al-Araj and Hussein Zaqoot.
