The Palestine Monetary Authority hosted on Tuesday, July 12th Professor Philippe Aghion of Harvard University, who is one of the most important researchers and international experts in the field of Economics of Growth and Endogenous Growth Theory. He was accompanied by Mrs. Bendecite Berner, a Media expert and a co lecturer at Harvard University.

Dr. Jihad Al Wazir, the governor of the PMA welcomed the guests at his office in the city of Ramallah, where they held a meeting and discussed ways of future cooperation, Dr. Al Wazir considered Prof. Aghion's visit as a quality addition to the Monetary Authority because of his long history in Growth Policy Design.

Prof. Aghion, who conducted many studies and researches on growth and innovation policy, gave a lecture at the PMA on the Theories of Economic Growth, which was attended by the Governor Dr. Jihad Al Wazir, the Deputy Governor Dr. Shehadeh Hussein, Dr. George T. Abed the Former Governor of the PMA and an Advisor at the Institute of International Finance, as well as high level management members of the PMA and many of the managers of the banks operating in Palestine, in addition to some professors of Universities and research institutions of Economics.
