PMA Receives Student Delegation from Al Azhar University in Gaza

PMA received a student delegation from Faculty of Economics and Administrative Science and Faculty Dean Dr. Samir Abu Mdallaleh. The visit was organized by the Public Relations and Communication Department as part of the banking awareness campaign aimed at spreading banking awareness amongst all segments of the community. The delegation was received by Mr. Hussein Zaggut, Public Services Supervisor at PMA Gaza Office, who gave an orientation presentation about the Palestinian financial sector and its goals as well as the tasks entrusted to the PMA, the legislative environment and legislation in force.

The student delegation visited the Public Relations Hall, where Ms. Mervat Sharab, employee at the Awareness and Complaint Handling Division, elaborated the work of the Hall and the services that it offers to the public using the Credit Registry System and the Bounced Cheques System as well as the reception of public complaints.

Ms. Ghada Abu ‘Uweili, Coordinator of Credit Operations Systems Division, gave an elaborate presentation about bounced cheques and settlement agreements. Concluding the visit, Dr. Samir Abu Mdallaleh thanked the PMA for the organization of the visit. He noted that such visits offer an additional practical perspective to the students, which familiarizes them with PMA efforts, tasks and departments, and that the role of PMA in spreading banking and financial awareness amongst university students is appreciated.
