PMA Incorporates PHC within Credit Database

On Monday, October 15th 2012, the Palestine Monetary Authority linked the Palestinian Housing Council with the credit information system. Thus the PMA has executed a memorandum of understanding signed on 18/08/2012 with the PHC to enrich the database of the PMA`s Credit information system and to reduce risks associated with the facilities portfolios of the banking system and of specialized lending firms.

With this step, the PMA has accomplished connecting to the credit information system all specialized lending firms, which are nine, alongside with banks so that the total banking and financial institutions benefiting from this service will be 27. The system will provide PHC with information about facilities of recipient clients, furnish accurate data on borrowers and their guarantors to speed up and facilitate credit deliberation, and take timely credit decisions in a short notice and with low credit risk.
