PMA Governor meets the Chinese Ambassador and Commercial Attaché

 

Ramallah - His Excellency Mr. Azzam Shawwa, the Governor of Palestine Monetary Authority, met today at his office in Ramallah, with the Chinese Ambassador to Palestine Mr. Chen Xingzhong and the Commercial Attaché Mr. Tsaumin Chuan, to discuss strengthening of bilateral relations in banking and economy and exchange of expertise. Mr. Shawwa briefed the delegates about the developments and achievements of Palestine Monetary Authority in legislative, regulatory, and supervisory areas to strengthen the stability of the Palestinian banking system and its independence and soundness of functions. Mr. Shawwa also briefed the delegates about the efforts to keep abreast of global banking developments and the positive impact of such efforts on the soundness and stability of the Palestinian banking system.

Mr. Shawwa affirmed the strength of the bilateral relations between Palestine and China and praised the support China provided to Palestine in different areas; especially supporting the Palestinian economy.

Mr. Chen Xingzhong praised the performance of the Palestinian banking sector and its development and stability and the role Palestine Monetary Authority played to ensure the development and stability of the sector. Mr. Chen Xingzhong said China was ready to expand the cooperation in different areas including the financial and banking areas.
