PMA Governor Azzam Shawwa Meets Tunisian Ambassador to Palestine Habib Ben Farah

In his office in Ramallah, PMA Governor, H. E. Azzam Shawwa, received Tunisian Ambassador to Palestine, H.E. Habib Ben Farah. The Ambassador congratulated Mr. Shawwa on assuming office as Governor of PMA last month. He wished him progress and success in serving the best interests of the Palestinian people and economy. He asserted Tunisia’s constant stance, which is also the stance of the Tunisian people, to provide the Palestinian people will all support, and his country’s readiness to cooperate with the PMA with regard to exchange of banking expertise. 

Mr. Shawwa praised the strong brotherly relations between Palestine and Tunisia. He added that Tunisia offered everything dear and precious for the sake of the Palestinian cause, recalling that over its soil, Palestinian and Tunisian blood mingled in defence of Arab nationalism. Mr. Shawwa noted that Tunisia was never hesitant in its support to Palestine to gain its freedom and national independence in every forum and every field. 

Mr. Shawwa said he held to high esteem the positive relations that bind the PMA with the Central Bank of Tunisia, expressing hope that they witness further growth in the domain on central banking and particularly in relation with monetary policy and banking supervision.
