PMA Governor and Al Quds University President Discuss Joint Cooperation

H.E. Mr. Azzam Shawwa, PMA Governor met today at his office in Ramallah with Dr. Imad Abu Kishik, President of Al Quds University, and the dual program team at Al Quds University to discuss ways of boosting the strategic relations between PMA and Al Quds University especially in raising university students’ financial awareness. PMA holds a series of lectures annually at universities in order to explain its tasks and the banking services. The dual program team from Al Quds University presented the dual program during the meeting. The program is the first of its kind in Palestine. It combines between theoretical study and practice. Al Quds University started the program in 2015. It is designed to enhance vocational training among young Palestinians and ensure new jobs for students after graduation. It also bridges the gap between education and labor market needs.

H.E. Mr. Azzam Shawwa welcomed the idea of dual program. The meeting agreed to examine the potential of banks joining the program. Therefore, PMA and Al Quds University will soon organize an introductory workshop on possible topics of a training program in banking functions.
