PMA Extends Working Hours in Gaza Banks This Evening

The Palestine Monetary Authority has extended working hours in banks in Gaza this evening to meet the needs of the public and help to overcome the impact of the latest crisis. The PMA also held the first clearance session since the beginning of the week in Gaza as usual. Cheques drawn at all branches have been cleared, taking into account that the PMA has issued several circulars about extending the right to return cheques drawn by citizens in the Gaza Strip, and suspension of client classification (individuals and companies) for cheques drawn on insufficient funds to enable customers adequate time to cover drawn cheques.
