PMA Demands Gaza Banks to Increase Staff at Branches to Avoid Overcrowding Upon Paychecks Cashing

The PMA has issued a new circular on 9/11/2012, due to the continuation of the intensive follow-up of public sector employees’ paychecks by banks operating in Palestine. The circular demands that all banks operating in the Gaza Strip to take necessary measures, such as increasing staff at branches to avoid overcrowding, and to follow up feeding of ATMs continuously to facilitate withdrawals, so that salaries would be cashed easily. PMA gives this subject great importance in light of the delay in payment of public sector salaries and tendency towards the partial conversion of salaries.
