PMA and PIFBS Hold a Financial and Banking Awareness Workshop

Palestine Monetary Authority, PMA, and in cooperation with Palestine Institute for Financial and Banking Studies, PIFBS, organized a workshop on finance and banking for the officers of the National Security Forces and presidential guards. The workshop aimed at raising the participant’s awareness of the financial and banking issues.

The workshop was inaugurated by Dr. Jihad Al Wazir, Governor of the PMA and the Colonel Yousef Al Abed, Deputy Commander of the Palestinian National Forces and Mr. Basel Taha, Director of PIFBS.

Dr. Al- Wazir stated in the welcoming remarks that this workshop took place to empower citizens through raising their awareness of the financial and banking procedures, and educating them about the mechanisms of dealing with the banking system. Then Dr. Al-Wazir mentioned an important circular and measures that have been issued by PMA to organize the relationship between people and banks. He also urged citizens to seek knowledge and details about the nature of contracts and their conditions, He also refered to the role of operational loans in strengthening the national economy.

Due to their commitment to the social responsibility towards the Palestinian society and its institutions; The Consumer Relations and Market Conduct Department in the PMA and with the PIFBS organize several educational workshops in the above mentioned fields around the year.
