Palestine Monetary Authority Finalizes 11th Training Program for the Students of Gaza Universities

Palestine Monetary Authority finalized today the 11thtraining program for Gaza university students. The program went on for one week and thirty students of finance, banking, accounting, statistics, and business administration from Al Azhar University, Islamic University, Gaza University, University College of Applicable Sciences, and Al Aqsa University took part in the training.  The training program addressed the functions of PMA and the Palestinian banking sector. His Excellency Mr. Azzam Shawwa, the Governor of Palestine Monetary Authority, said the relations between PMA and Palestinian academic institution at home were very strong and productive. It is imperative that university students benefit from this program, which aims to inform students of the functions of PMA and the banking sector, according to Mr. Shawwa. The training program was presented by PMA employees. PMA has organized a number of training programs through the Technical Committee of Working with Gaza Universities. Dr. Imad Al Araj, heads the Committee. Dr. Imad Al Araj is also the Advisor of Mr. Shawwa for Monetary Operations. The training was part of PMA’s framework of financial inclusion strategy and part of PMA’s corporate social responsibility toward universities and other academic institutions.
