Dr. Jihad Al-Wazir Honored by the Council of Governors of the Arab Central Banks & Monetary Authorities

Cairo/Palestine - The Council of Governors of the Arab Central Banks and Monetary Authorities honored Dr. Jihad Al-Wazir, Governor of the PMA, for his efforts and accomplishments in the service of the PMA and the banking system in Palestine during the eight years of his terms in office. The acknowledgement took place at the closing session of the Council’s meeting in Cairo, attended by Dr. Al-Wazir, on the occasion of the near termination of his second term as Governor of the PMA.
Dr. Abdulrahman Al-Hamidy, Director General Chairman of the Board of the AMF gave a speech in which he praised the efforts and outstanding contribution of Dr. Al-Wazir to the development of the banking sector in Palestine. He added that such efforts have culminated in great achievements under the most adverse circumstances, to say the least. Dr. Al-Hamidy expressed the great esteem which Governors of the Arab Central Banks and Monetary Authorities hold for Dr. Al-Wazir’s valuable contribution to the work and activities of the Council, wishing him continuous success in his future missions.
In turn, Dr. Al-Wazir thanked the Governors for their gracious gesture and expressed his gratification at the fruitful relation and cooperation with the Governors over the past years. He emphasized the significance of the outcome of his rich experience in the domain of mutual Arab banking collaboration, wishing for the continuation and further development of the close relation between the PMA and its sister Arab Central Banks & Monetary Authorities.
