PMA Takes Part in Volunteer Work Day as Part of “My Beautiful Homeland” Campaign
Sunday April 3 2015
Governor of the PMA, Dr Jihad Al Wazir, and a group of PMA employees took part today volunteer work as part of “My Beautiful Homeland” campaign organized by Jerusalem Pharmaceuticals Ltd, in cooperation with Al Bireh Municipality, for the purpose of improving Al Bireh north entrance from Nablus Rd. The Governor and PMA employees joined forces with Jerusalem Pharmaceuticals employees in cleaning the street, stretching from City-Inn roundabout to the Modern Community College, and the Embassies Garden situated along the same street.
Dr Al Wazir commented on this campaign saying that “We, at the PMA, have a deep commitment to community engagement and affirm its significance in the development of the national economy. We thank those in charge of this initiative, which reflects the importance of public-private collaboration, and are always prepared to be social-development allies.”
It is worth mentioning that this campaign will run through the month of May and will cover Al Bireh north entrance suburbs. As part of a comprehensive project supervised by Al Bireh Municipality, the work aims at qualification and improvement of the road by erecting bus stops, providing trash bins, beautification of the garden, olive tree planting on both sides of the street, installing benches to be used by pedestrians and ramblers, as the large space which the road occupies qualifies it to become a breathing space for residents and visitors of both Ramallah and Al Bireh. Development of the street will regenerate a more environment-friendly, safer and convenient space for passers-by.
