Palestine Monetary Authority Welcomes Senior Level Delegation from the Financial Stability Department of the Sveriges Riksbank (Central Bank of Sweden)

H.E. Mr. Azzam Shawwa, the Governor of the Palestine Monetary Authority, welcomed senior delegation from the Financial Stability Department of the Sveriges Riksbank (Central Bank of Sweden). Dr. Riyad Abu Shehadah, the Governor’s Assistant for Financial Stability Affairs attended the meeting with the Swedish delegation. H.E. Mr. Azzam Shawwa praised the strong relation between PMA and the Central Bank of Sweden during the meeting. 

The visit of the Swedish delegation is of technical nature to look at the environment, systems, and frameworks of financial stability and PMA’s procedures to boost financial stability and its indicators. Swedish delegation made presentations before directors and officers from PMA about the Swedish experience in financial stability. 

The Central Bank of Sweden is one of the oldest central banks in the world and the 350^thanniversary of its foundation was recently celebrated.
