Governor of PMA Meets with YPO Delegation

In his office at PMA headquarters in Ramallah, Governor of PMA Azzam Shawwa met today with a delegation from YPO representing members and their families. 

Governor Shawwa updated the visiting delegation on the latest PMA efforts to develop its regulatory and supervisory functions, to maintain financial stability of the banking sector and to promote the national economy. In addition, the Governor touched upon PMA endeavors to become a full-fledged central bank in the near future. 

The Governor emphasized the significance of promoting public-private partnership as well as strengthening the relations between the various private institutions themselves, in order to better harmonize their vision and investment activities. He added that such strong relations will favorably impact the performance of the private sector within the Palestinian national economy, given that it is one of the economy’s cornerstones. 




The Governor of the PMA accompanied the delegation on their tour of PMA’s new building and premises and presented an overview of the responsibilities of the PMA and the work methodology of its departments and divisions.
It is worth mentioning that YPO, formerly Young Presidents' Organization, is s a global network of young chief executives with approximately 24,000 members in more than 130 countries.
