The PMA Governor Meets with the Palestinian Insurance Federation (PIF) Mission

His Excellency the PMA Governor, Mr. Yahya Shunnar, met today at the PMA headquarters with the Palestinian Insurance Federation (PIF) Mission, which included the Chairman of the Federation’s Board of Directors, Mr. Hamzeh Shrouf, along with several federation members. The meeting was also attended by Deputy Governor Mr. Mohammed Manasrah and several department directors.

The Governor welcomed the attendees and expressed his appreciation for the efforts of the Palestinian Insurance Federation in advancing the insurance industry in Palestine, raising public awareness about insurance, and improving the quality of insurance services provided to all segments of society. He also commended the insurance sector for its resilience in facing financial challenges and hardships amid the current circumstances. Furthermore, he emphasized the sector’s vital role, under the umbrella of the Capital Market Authority, in promoting financial development and ensuring the stability of the national economy.

During the meeting, the Governor reviewed the ongoing efforts of the PMA to enhance the banking sector and ensure financial stability. He highlighted the continuous endeavors by both the PMA and the banking sector to restore financial and banking services for citizens and support the private sector in Gaza, with the aim of achieving sustainable financial stability and stimulating economic development amid the current challenges.

For their part, the Palestinian Insurance Federation (PIF)’s mission congratulated His Excellency Mr. Shunnar on his appointment as Governor of the PMA, praising the PMA’s role in advancing financial and banking services, particularly in the development of electronic payment systems, which significantly contribute to supporting the insurance sector and facilitating financial transactions.
