The PMA Launches a Zero-Cost Lending Program

To Support Small and Micro Enterprises (SMEs)

The PMA has launched a financing program worth USD 10 million to support SMEs affected by the ongoing economic crisis. The program offers zero-interest loans with no associated costs.

The program aims to empower SMEs across all governorates—particularly those in the most affected areas—by providing the necessary funding to cover working capital and operational expenses, without imposing any financial burden on business owners. This support is intended to help ensure the continuity and sustainability of their businesses.

His Excellency Mr. Yahya Shunnar, the PMA Governor, affirmed that this program is part of the PMA’s broader strategy to support and develop various types of economic enterprises by facilitating access to finance and providing technical assistance. He explained that over the past four years, the PMA has launched several financing programs with zero or reduced interest rates, aimed at creating new job opportunities and ensuring the sustainability of existing businesses amidst the political, economic, and health crises facing the Palestinian economy. In addition, specialized advisory, technical, and administrative support has been provided to enterprises through the “Monshati” platform, which has significantly improved access to financing sources and helped businesses grow through training and consulting services delivered in collaboration with a wide network of public and private sector partners.

Shunnar explained that this program is distinguished by its zero-cost structure, offering financing of up to USD 10 thousand for a term of four years, including a grace period of up to 12 months. He noted that eligible business owners can apply for financing through the “Monshati” platform, established by the PMA.
