Saturday, Jan 26th- Palestine Monetary Authority (PMA) and International Monetary Fund (IMF) in Jerusalem has organized a presentation about the regional economic scene and the economic developments in Palestine at PMA's headquarter in Ramallah.

Dr. Jihad Khalil Al-Wazir -Governor of the Palestine Monetary Authority, accompanied by Mr. Azzam Shawwa- Chairman of the Association of Banks in Palestine, met Dr. Farouk El-Okdah - Governor of the Central Bank of Egypt to discuss the regional economic conditions and the Palestinian case, in particular.

The Palestine Monetary Authority organized an economic seminar, presented by Mr. Benoit Coeure, an executive board member at the European Central Bank. The seminar addressed "Europe's Economic and Monetary Union - short and longer-term challenges", where Mr. Coeure reviewed ECB’s role in analyzing Europe’s financial crisis and its impact on the rest of the world.
