Palestine Monetary Authority Launches its New Website

Palestine Monetary Authority (PMA) has launched its new website in English and Arabic to provide the public with information, statistics, financial and banking data, in order to enhance the communication with them and to keep them updated on the latest economic developments in Palestine with economic analysis aimed at raising the level of knowledge of financial and banking among citizens of different backgrounds and categories, to empower them to put right plans for their present and future.

By launching of the new website www.pma.ps; PMA aims at giving the visitors of the website the chance to be introduced to its purposive mission that aims at maintaining the financial stability in Palestine and provide citizens, traders, employees, money changers, specialized lending institutions, mass media, academics and researchers with accurate and reliable data about the laws, regulations and guidelines that facilitate their work, and and to serve the general interest of the community. 

The website includes basic information about PMA, its departments, divisions, laws, regulations that organize the banking operations in Palestine, and the annual and semi-annual and quarter reports, working papers, monthly statistical bulletin and cumulative data and publications, in addition to the special angle information, press releases and social media. 

The new website also contains publication and sustainability of public finance reports, public debt, economic and social monitor, inflation, monetary and economic developments and financial market report. These reports are considered qualitative references for researchers and interested people.

Moreover; this website offers intensive data for the researchers of monthly statistics, financial market, Palestinian balance of payments and the status of international investment in Palestine. The website also includes information about the licensed banks operating in Palestine, money changers, specialized lending institutions, circulars and PMA Business Cycle (PMABCI) Indicator, in addition to checking the international bank account number (IBAN). 

Regarding the financial data, the website contains international reserves and foreign currency liquidity, banking assets, deposits, credit facilities, average of prices for changing main foreign currencies in Palestine, average of interest rates on deposits and loans in banks, data of clearance and its movements between banks operating in Palestine, financial remittances between banks that is implemented through payment settlement system (Buraq) and the income and outcome remittances from or to Palestine. In addition; it contains the gross domestic product, public finance, income and expenditure, public debt, prices and workforce.
