In the Presence of His Excellency the Governor, Bank of Jordan Donates 750,000 Shekels to Wakfet Izz Fund
May 10, 2020 - In the presence of the Governor of Palestine Monetary Authority, Mr. Azzam Shawwa, the Bank of Jordan in Palestine donates 750,000 shekels to support Wakfet Izz Fund dedicated to mitigating the effects of the coronavirus pandemic, in an agreement between the Bank of Jordan represented by the Regional Director of Palestine Branches Hatem Foqaha and Wakfet Izz Fund represented by its Chairman, Mr. Talal Nasser al-Deen.
Mr. Shawwa praised this agreement, referring to the distinguished contributions of the Palestinian banking system during this and other previous crises, where it proved time and again that it stood in the first line of defense for our people and our economy, and did not hesitate for a moment to provide everything that it could in the time of crisis, from a national and humanitarian point of view, and that it was the first to provide Wakfet Izz Fund with financial support.
Mr. Shawwa also commended the support provided by the Palestinian banking sector and taking on social responsibility and the additional burdens resulting from the current health crisis.
